As part of recent regulatory reforms, professional service providers including accountants and lawyers are now required to comply with Anti Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) obligations administered by AUSTRAC. Roberts + Morrow has implemented these requirements in line with AUSTRAC regulations as part of our ongoing commitment to protecting our clients and the integrity of the financial system.
What this means for you
• Before certain services can begin, we may need to collect and verify identification documents
• We may ask additional questions about your business structure or transactions
• These verification checks will form part of both new client onboarding and for some new services for existing clients
These processes are designed to reduce the risk of financial crime and ensure compliance with Australian law.
How we’ll do it
We conduct identity verification through InfoTrack, a purpose-built AML platform used by professional services firms across accounting, legal, and real estate services. You’ll receive a secure email digital request through the platform from Roberts + Morrow; this allows verification to be completed quickly and remotely in InfoTrack.
If digital verification doesn’t work for your situation, please speak with your Roberts + Morrow team member to discuss alternatives.
Your privacy
We take the privacy of your information seriously. Anything you share with us is collected securely, used only to meet our regulatory obligations and provide the services you’ve requested, and managed in line with applicable privacy laws. It will not be used for any other purpose.
Fees
Please note, to meet our obligations fees will apply for the work involved in completing verification checks and any ongoing monitoring required. We’ll clearly advise you of applicable fees at the time.
