Involvement

Supporting our local communities for 70+ years.

We are proud to play an active role in our communities. One of the ways we do this is by supporting groups and charities that are important to our employees through sponsorship, volunteering, and fundraising.

As a business, we also participate in campaigns together such as International Earth Day, International Women’s Day and Cultural Awareness Day to raise awareness amongst our team and learn about issues that affect us all. We also like to attend special events in our community such as AGQuip and Career fairs.

Our Community Development Committee raises money within our office for charities, and not-for-profit. This has included more recently raising money for the Kids Cancer Project, the Smith Family, Westpac Rescue Helicopter, NSW SES & QLD SES.

Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee also raises money for International Women’s Day, which goes to local women’s shelters.

A few of our Tamworth team members got together with the Tamworth Junior Chamber for the TFSS Winter Warmer Soccer Cup to help raise funds for families in need.

Great social event to raise awareness! Thank you to everyone who contributed to the day.

The Long Run

The Long Run

Karina Waite, our lawyer based in the Armidale office, recently walked over 72kms for the Long Run, raising awareness and funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA). The below was contributed by Karina Waite:

“Prostate cancer is the most common diagnosed cancer in Australia and it is estimated that 1 in 5 males will be diagnosed by the time they are 85. In 2022, more than 24,200 males were diagnosed with prostate cancer in Australia, with the average age of diagnosis at 69.

The PCFA provided my Dad with support during his diagnosis and treatment. Their ongoing support groups have continued to help him as he navigates life after treatment.”

STEPtember Challenge

Our team members participated in the STEPtember Challenge! We would like to congratulate all that participated, everyone did an amazing job!

As a team, Roberts + Morrow completed 6,182,409 steps and raised $3,120 for cerebal palsy, a fantastic effort!

The top fundraisers were the Armidale office and Glen Innes took out the award for the top steppers.
