Empowering Our Community: Roberts + Morrow Sponsoring Year 12 Oxley High School Financial Literacy Program

At Roberts + Morrow, we are committed to empowering the next generation with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed. Roberts + Morrow have sponsored the Year 12 Students at Oxley High School Tamworth to provide the life skills academy program which will be presented on our behalf by The Tiny Foxes team. This innovative program is designed to equip students with essential financial literacy skills that will set them on the path to financial independence and success.

Why Financial Literacy Matters

Financial literacy is a critical life skill that is often overlooked in traditional education. With the complexities of managing personal finances in today’s world, it’s more important than ever to ensure our youth are prepared to make informed financial decisions. By investing in financial education, we are helping to build stronger communities and brighter futures.

About the Life Skills Academy

The Life Skills Academy, offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers a wide range of topics essential for financial well-being. Some of the key topics include:

  • Budgeting and Saving: Students learn how to create and maintain a budget, set financial goals, and develop saving habits that will serve them throughout their lives.
  • Understanding Credit: The program demystifies credit, teaching students about credit scores, and the impact of debt on financial health.
  • Investment Basics: Students are introduced to the fundamentals of investing, including how to start investing, understanding risk and return, and the benefits of long-term investing.
  • Financial Goal Setting: The course emphasizes the importance of setting short-term and long-term financial goals and provides strategies for achieving them.
  • Navigating the Workforce: Students gain insights into managing their first income, understanding taxes, and planning for future financial security.

Our Commitment to Community Impact

We believe that by providing students with these crucial skills, we are not only enhancing their individual potential but also contributing to the overall well-being of our community. The Life Skills Academy is an investment in the future of Oxley High School students, empowering them to make smart financial choices and achieve their dreams.

Roberts + Morrow is proud to support this initiative and looks forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on the students and the community as a whole. Together, we are building a foundation for a financially savvy and secure future.
