Congratulations on 25 years!

Date: 29 February 2024

Our Brisbane Partner, Jason Simmonds, recently reached a special milestone. Celebrating 25 years as a Partner of Roberts + Morrow, well done Jason on a wonderful achievement. We thank you for your hard work and dedication to the firm.

In 2021, Jason led an exciting expansion into QLD as the firm opened an office in the Brisbane CBD. He continues to grow the Brisbane team and contribute to the next chapter of the firm. We asked him a few questions about the past 25 years…

When did you begin working here, and what role? I started 1 December 1998 as an intern. One of my first roles was to setup and train a lot of our clients on MYOB, in preparation for the new GST regime.

Why R+M initially, and why today? R+M came to UNE whilst I was a student there, and did a presentation about the accounting industry and the firm. It came across as very professional and progressive. Today the firm has those same attributes.

What has changed the most over your twenty-five years? The firm has evolved and built on its history to become a true multi-disciplinary professional services business servicing our clients’ needs.

What do you envision for the next ten years? Continued technological change, freeing up time from repetitive accounting processes and enabling an even deeper engagement with our clients.

Do you have any funny memories you would like to share with us? Yes, although too many to recount. R+M has a great culture where our people can have a career plus some fun along the way.
