Armidale Vinnies Community Sleepout 2025

Date: 26 August 2025

Roberts + Morrow proudly supported the Armidale Vinnies Community Sleepout on Friday the 22nd of August

Homelessness is often seen as a big-city issue, but the reality is very different. A significant number of people experiencing homelessness live in regional, rural, and remote parts of Australia. In fact, the risk is often greater in these areas, where people face higher living costs, fewer housing options, and lower incomes.

For one night, Armidale locals registered to sleep out, braving the freezing cold to raise much-needed funds for Vinnies services and programs. Along the way, they gained valuable insights into the harsh realities faced by those experiencing homelessness and disadvantage.

A total of $37,000 was raised at the Armidale event and these funds will go directly to supporting participants of the Fresh Start Program re-engage with their local community, build a new, safe and healthy social network and assist people to establish a safe, secure and stable living environment for themselves and their families.
