R+M was proud to support the Armidale Vinnies Community Sleepout recently, with Cameron Cowley taking part in the event to help raise awareness and funds for people experiencing homelessness.
While homelessness is often thought of as a metropolitan issue, many people experiencing housing insecurity live in regional, rural and remote communities, where challenges such as limited housing availability, rising living costs and lower incomes can increase the risk of homelessness.
Participants spent the night rough sleeping, gaining a small insight into the realities faced by those doing it tough while raising much-needed funds for Vinnies programs and services.
The Armidale event raised over an incredible $37K which will directly support Vinnies’ Start Fresh Program. These funds will help participants reconnect with their local communities, build safe and supportive social networks, and work towards a stable, secure future for themselves and their families.
